Surgical Management of Unstable Superior Femoral Epiphysiolysis with Great Displacement

چکیده
Introduction: Superior femoral epiphysiolysis (SFE) is a most progressive but sometimes abrupt displacement of the head relative to superior metaphysis through cervicocerebral growth plate femur. The often downward and backward. It typical pathology pubescent adolescent, overweight. occurs on average at age 12 years in girls 14 boys. Unstable forms with large displacements have high risk necrosis chondrolysis. Although situ fixation generally accepted treatment for minor SFE, more severe cases remains controversial. When extent makes it impossible pass screw between neck head, only option reduce displacement. This reduction must be gentle, limited minimum necessary osteosynthesis. Objective: aim work was evaluate results technique epiphyseal by transtibial traction followed percutaneous screw. Patients Method: retrospective descriptive study over 10-years period from January 1, 2013 December 31, 2022. focused surgical unstable upper orthopaedic trauma department University Hospital Kati. Functional Results of Unstable (Type 2) Distal Clavicle Fractures Treated with Superior Anterior Locking Plate
Background: The treatment of distal clavicle fracture is always a challenge, as it is mostly unstable and has higherrate of delayed union, malunion, non-union and associated acromioclavicular arthritis. So the management of thesefractures remains controversial. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the functional results of Type 2 distal endclavicle fractures treated with superior anterior l...
متن کاملEpiphysiolysis of the great tuberosity of the calcaneum: brief report.
We report a case of epiphysiolysis of the great tuberosity ofthe calcaneum in a 10-year-old patient and discuss the mechanism, the surgical treatment and the result. A fracture-separation of this nature at this age has not, as far as we know, been reported previously. Case report. A 10-year-old girl complained of spontaneous acute pain in the left heel. There were no other symptoms and the radi...

Superior sulcus tumor refers to any primary lung cancer presenting with constant pain in the nerve distribution of the eighth cervical, first and second thoracic nerve roots and Horner's syndrome caused by invasion of the stellate ganglion. The pain is steady, severe, and unrelenting, involving the shoulder, the vertebral margin of the scapula and ulnar distribution of the arm to the elbow and ...
متن کاملNeonatal proximal femoral epiphysiolysis (NPFE): a case report.
Disruption of the proximal femoral epiphysis in the neonate is a rare injury, and requires to be differentiated from congenital dislocation of hip, osteomyelitis of proximal femur and fracture of the proximal femoral metaphysis. The proximal femoral epiphysis in the neonate is not visible in an X-ray. Therefore, diagnosis of its disruption is not easy. Radiological changes do occur in the proxi...
متن کاملManagement of unstable/acute slipped capital femoral epiphysis.
There is limited literature regarding the treatment of unstable slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE). The Evidence Analysis Work Group (EAWG) initiated a questionnaire assessing management of unstable SCFE by the members of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA). All members were surveyed by e-mail and fax. The survey was accessible through the POSNA web site. One third ...
